Howard Duane Allman was an American rock and blues guitarist, best known as the founder and original leader of The Allman Brothers Band. Renowned for his expressive slide guitar playing and improvisational skills, he also gained acclaim as a session musician, notably contributing to Derek and the Dominos' album "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs." Allman was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
