Eiichi Ohtaki (July 28, 1948 – December 30, 2013) was an influential Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He gained initial recognition as a member of the rock band Happy End before embarking on a highly acclaimed solo career in 1972. Ohtaki is widely regarded as a pioneer of city pop and Japanese rock, known for his meticulous "Wall of Sound" production style and his seminal 1981 album, A Long Vacation.
