L.R. Wright (born Laurali Rose Appleby) was a Canadian author renowned for her mystery novels, particularly the Karl Alberg series. Her book "The Suspect" earned her the prestigious Edgar Award for Best Novel in 1986. Many of her stories are set on the coast of British Columbia, and her works have been adapted for television, including the series "Murder in a Small Town."
