Mole Man, whose real name is Harvey Rupert Elder, is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He made his debut as the first foe of the Fantastic Four in *The Fantastic Four* #1 in November 1961, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Elder is typically depicted as the ruler of Subterranea and its inhabitants, the Moloids, often plotting to conquer or destroy the surface world that rejected him.
