George Orson Welles (1915–1985) was an American actor, director, writer, and producer renowned for his innovative work in film, radio, and theatre. He is widely considered one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time, best known for his groundbreaking film "Citizen Kane" and his infamous 1938 radio broadcast of "The War of the Worlds." Welles also notably voiced the planet-eating robot Unicron in "The Transformers: The Movie," one of his final roles.
