About #Payson
Payson is a town in northern Gila County, Arizona, known as "The Heart of Arizona" and a gateway to the Colorado Plateau and Mogollon Rim. Situated at an elevation of approximately 5,000 feet, it is surrounded by the Tonto National Forest and experiences a moderate four-season climate. Founded in 1882 as Green Valley, Payson was officially incorporated in 1973.
