Record Plant was a pioneering American recording studio founded in New York City in 1968 by Gary Kellgren and Chris Stone. Known for its innovative, relaxed, and artist-friendly environment, it quickly expanded with additional locations in Los Angeles (1969) and Sausalito, California (1972). The studios hosted countless influential artists and produced iconic albums across various genres before its final Los Angeles location closed in 2024.
