About #Sky One
Sky One is a British pay television channel operated by Sky Group, a subsidiary of Comcast. Launched on April 26, 1982, as Satellite Television, it became Sky One on July 31, 1989, and was known for its mix of original British productions and popular American imports. The channel ceased broadcasting on September 1, 2021, but relaunched on February 24, 2026, taking over content from Sky Showcase and Sky Max.
