The Expendabelles is an upcoming all-female action film, serving as a prequel and spinoff to The Expendables franchise. Set in the late 1990s during the Y2K era, it will explore the origin story of a new generation of elite female operatives. The project was announced at the Cannes Film Festival and is being developed by Eclectic Pictures and Hollywood Ventures Group with support from Lionsgate.
