Barbara Gordon is a prominent superheroine in DC Comics, known for her roles as Batgirl and Oracle. Initially the daughter of Commissioner James Gordon and a librarian, she debuted as Batgirl in *Detective Comics* #359 in 1967. After being paralyzed by the Joker, she reinvented herself as Oracle, a genius-level hacker and information broker, before later returning to her Batgirl persona while also continuing her work as Oracle.
