The Chuschagasta are an Indigenous community of the Diaguita people located in the Department of Trancas, Tucumán Province, Argentina. They are recognized for their long-standing struggle to defend ancestral land rights, a conflict tragically highlighted by the 2009 murder of their leader, Javier Chocobar. The community, with legal recognition, comprises approximately 800 inhabitants and occupies 15,505 hectares.
