Fox McCloud is the anthropomorphic red fox protagonist and leader of the Star Fox team in Nintendo's Star Fox series. Created by Shigeru Miyamoto and designed by Takaya Imamura, he first appeared in the 1993 video game Star Fox. He is a skilled pilot who battles against the evil Andross to protect the Lylat System and has appeared in numerous other Nintendo titles, including the Super Smash Bros. series and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
