Robert Doherty is an American television writer, producer, and showrunner known for creating and executive producing the CBS series "Elementary" and the ABC crime drama "R.J. Decker." He previously worked as a writer and producer on numerous other television shows, including "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Medium." Doherty received a Primetime Emmy Award in 1995 for his work as a producer on "NYPD Blue."
