Door County is the easternmost county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located on the Door Peninsula between Green Bay and Lake Michigan. With a population of 30,066 as of the 2020 census, it is a popular tourism destination known for its scenic beauty, numerous lighthouses, and cherry orchards. The county was created in 1851 and is named after the treacherous "Death's Door" strait.
