Stephen Robert "Steve" Irwin (1962–2006) was an Australian conservationist, zookeeper, and television personality. He achieved global fame as the enthusiastic host of the wildlife documentary series "The Crocodile Hunter," which he co-hosted with his wife, Terri Irwin. Irwin was dedicated to wildlife education and conservation, co-owning and operating Australia Zoo.
